An over is six legal balls bowled. Each team bats for up to ten overs, giving it 60 legal balls to score. A batting side can finish sooner if it loses all ten wickets.

60 balls. One innings per team. A match in about 90 minutes. Here’s the quick guide.
New to cricket? Think of Canada Super 60 as a short, high-energy version of the game. Two teams take turns batting. One tries to pile up runs; the other tries to stop them. Then they switch, and the team with more runs wins.
How does Super 60 work?
“60” refers to each team’s maximum of 60 legal deliveries, not 60 minutes of play.
Score runs
Batters score by running between the wickets. A ball that reaches the boundary on the ground is four runs; clearing it on the full is six.
Chase the target
The second team tries to beat the first team’s score before its ten overs run out or it loses ten wickets. If it passes the target, it wins immediately.
How to read the score

124 is runs scored. 5 is wickets lost, meaning five batters have been dismissed. 10.0 overs means all ten overs have been completed.
To win, the other team would need 125 runs before its innings ends.
Three things to watch
Powerplay
In the first two overs, only two fielders can stand outside the 30-yard circle, giving batters room to attack.
Wickets
A wicket is a batter being dismissed—for example, bowled, caught, or run out. Ten wickets end an innings.
Bowling rotation
Each bowler can deliver at most two overs in this tournament.
The pace
One complete match is expected to take about 90 minutes, with each side batting once.
One detail: A wide or no-ball is an illegal delivery. It adds a penalty run and must be bowled again, so an innings can contain more than 60 deliveries in total.
The Vancouver tournament
Season 2 takes place at BC Place from September 29 to October 4, 2026. The organizers list six franchises and 24 matches over six days, with men’s and women’s competitions.
