The Chicago White Sox beat the Cleveland Guardians 4-3 on Monday to take a 2-0 lead in the AL Division Series. Braden Montgomery lined a two-run double down the right-field line in the sixth for the go-ahead runs, and Sean Burke allowed one hit over 5 1/3 innings in relief. Chicago is 4-0 in these playoffs, all on the road, and needs one win to reach the AL Championship Series for the first time since 2005. The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the New York Yankees 5-2 in ALDS Game 2 at Tropicana Field. Richie Palacios drove in two runs with a single during a four-run fifth inning, and four New York errors helped Tampa Bay pull away. Ben Rice homered twice for the Yankees, who have scored two runs in the series with Aaron Judge sidelined by a calf injury. Tampa Bay leads the best-of-five series 2-0. Atlanta routed New Orleans 45-24 on Monday Night Football at the Caesars Superdome. Bijan Robinson opened the scoring with a 59-yard touchdown run on the Falcons' third play and finished with 145 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Brian Robinson Jr. added three rushing scores as Atlanta moved to 2-2 and tied for first in the NFC South. New Orleans dropped to 1-3. Tim Stutzle scored twice and added an assist in the Ottawa Senators' 4-1 win over the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. Stutzle netted both goals in the first period, including a shorthanded strike, and goaltenders Linus Ullmark and Samuel Ersson stopped 18 of 19 shots combined as Ottawa improved to 2-0. Tuesday brings two NLDS Game 3 matchups on FS1. The Los Angeles Dodgers visit the Atlanta Braves at 6 p.m. Eastern with the series tied 1-1. The Milwaukee Brewers face the San Diego Padres at 9:30 p.m. Eastern after taking a 2-0 lead in their series.
