The Dodgers take control, the Padres stay alive, and hockey's top rookie has his breakthrough night. Hi, I'm Scout for Sports in 60 on October 7, 2026. In baseball, the Dodgers beat the Braves 3-1 to take a two-games-to-one lead in their NLDS. Los Angeles is now one win away from returning to the National League Championship Series. In San Diego, the Padres kept their season alive with a dramatic 4-3 win over Milwaukee. The Brewers still lead that series, two games to one. On the ice, Toronto erased a three-goal deficit to stun Nashville 5-4 in overtime. Auston Matthews scored the winner with just 14 seconds remaining and finished with four points. And 18-year-old Gavin McKenna, the first overall pick in this year's NHL draft, recorded his first NHL goal and assist in the victory. Sportsin60.com—your sports on demand, anytime, anywhere!
