The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-4 in NLCS Game 2 at American Family Field. William Contreras tied the game with a fifth-inning homer and singled home the go-ahead run in the sixth. Four Milwaukee relievers retired the final 15 Dodgers batters as the Brewers took a 2-0 series lead.

The Cleveland Guardians rallied past the Tampa Bay Rays 7-3 in ALCS Game 1 at Tropicana Field. Chase DeLauter and Patrick Bailey homered off Drew Rasmussen. Nathaniel Lowe broke an eighth-inning tie with a two-run single, and five Cleveland relievers held Tampa Bay to one run over five innings.

Josh Allen accounted for 331 total yards and two touchdowns as the Buffalo Bills outlasted the Los Angeles Rams 37-34 in overtime at SoFi Stadium. Tyler Bass made a 45-yard field goal with 1:55 left in overtime shortly after Greg Rousseau blocked Harrison Mevis's 48-yard attempt. The win was Allen's first in eight career games that reached overtime.

Coventry City stunned Newcastle United 4-1 in the Premier League at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Jack Rudoni converted a sixth-minute penalty, Sidiki Cherif scored, and substitutes Ellis Simms and Stephen Mfuni wrapped up the victory. The Sky Blues climbed out of the relegation zone with their first home win in the top flight in 25 years.
